House Ferrum

One of the most influential families in all of Garlemald, almost all Imperial citizens know of them. Their wealth and power dates back generations, earning them their position at the top of Garlemald’s nobility. With their ties into many branches of the military, government, science divisions, and even intelligence, they are one of the few families that would have a legitimate claim to the throne should the current line of emperors fall.Their influence and fame has earned them as many enemies as it has sycophants; one does not rise to the top without stepping on others along the way. Rumors and gossip of them are often the topic of conversation between nobility as a pleasant pastime. The following has become out of date following the events of 6.0. The following organization and facilities should be regarded as defunct.
The second of five Imperial research divisions, consisting of facilities XXVI to L, is focused on weapon development through the means of aetheric manipulation and genetic research. Overseen by the infamous Marius nan Ferrum, these facilities are pushed to produce astounding results with the goal of turning the tide of the war. There is no cost too great when it comes to progress, and there is no such thing as mercy when it impedes knowledge and power.
The 42nd Imperial Research & Development Facility
Director: Marius nan Ferrum
The headquarters of all 2nd Sector research. Nestled high in the isolated hills deep within the heart of the Empire, few know of its location or existence beyond hearsay and rumors. The facility resembles a castrum more than a traditional research facility, hinting at the terrible nature of what is done within its halls. It houses the most confidential research done by the 2nd Sector, and the most heinous. Very few are invited to its halls, and those that are do not come out the same as when they enter.

The 33rd Imperial Research & Development Facility - Argentum Facility

A small facility located in the northern stretches of Gyr Abania, the sister facility to the Onychinus Facility. One of several facilities dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of Allagan cloning and mutations. Argentum is the smaller of the two facilities, focused more on the technology and microbiology of such applications.
The 34th Imperial Research & Development Facility - Onychinus Facility
Director: Hadrianus nan Quercus
A larger facility in the northern stretches of Gyr Abania, the sister facility to the Argentum facility. While Argentum delves into theories and genetics, Onychinus is where that research is put to the test, developing old Allagan creatures long thought lost to this star. Several years ago, one such creature was unleashed from its shackles and destroyed the laboratories in the process. More recently, it was rebuilt, and has begun resuming operations once again.
The Vosu-Vahnyha Tribe
An elusive clan of Keepers of the Moon who make their home in the thick of the Eastern Twelveswood. Known as the Forest Sirens, they are identified by their stark white hair, thick-furred tails, and either pale skin (Vosu) or dark ebony skin (Vahnyha). Both males and females of this clan are ‘blessed’ with what they refer to as the Moon Scent, which intoxicates potential mates with a natural aphrodisiac. Most choose to cover this with perfumes or herbs until ready to take a mate of their own, and cover their faces in wooden masks, carved in the shape of an animal for their own protection. About the player:
I am a US based East Coast RPer who has been RPing for longer than I want to say (because that makes me feel old). I love to world build, and be sucked into the worlds that other players create as well. At the moment, my main method of RP is on discord. I work unpredictable hours, and run both an FC and RP tavern, AND got talked into raiding, so discord is definitely the easiest way to get some stories going with me.What I'm looking for:
18+ Roleplayers - I'm older, relaxed, easy-going, and I like my RP friends to be the same. In addition, I shy away from players who aren't good at separating IC from OOC or RP with characters who seem to be self-inserts.
Grammatical Awareness - I am a terrible grammar nazi. I'm sorry. I'm not going to nitpick over a misspelled word here or there, but if there are consistent, glaring errors, it breaks a lot of immersion for me. I put a lot of effort into my writing, and it is nice when others do the same.
Dark/Story-based/Conflict RP: Slice of life is nice occasionally, but I really enjoy darker themes. Drama, conflict, drugs, rock and roll, all are great.
Para-RP?I tend not to describe myself as a para-RPer. My posts will vary depending on just what I want to say. Sometimes, several paragraphs aren't necessary, especially in the middle of RP conversations. I've found that trying to write too much will end up feeling unnatural, and it will be almost like the characters are having two or three conversations at once. That being said, there are times where several paragraphs are necessary. It all depends on the scene and what I am trying to convey.
RP Limits:
NO violence against children or animals. If your character had abuse problems as a child, that’s fine. I just actively will not participate in RP where children are abused. Conversation about it is all right. Likewise for animals, I won’t knock anyone who plays a hunter or goes off to slay dragons. I mean harming helpless animals (dogs, cats, wounded/sick creatures, etc.)
NO bad pregnancy plots. Make all the babies! Have all the babies! If it’s a hard pregnancy, sure, that’s fine. But I’m mostly talking about ‘bad ends’ pregnancies that involve the death of the mother, child, or both.
NO suicide plots. Hard no for me. I enjoy dark plots, but I find that many inexperienced roleplayers tend to make light of this issue and go to it more often than desired. On the other hand, some roleplayers who struggle in their personal lives can go to these plots with self-insert characters as a cry for help or attention. Of course, everyone is free to play what they like, but I respectfully ask to be left out of any mention or roleplay regarding this topic.

Members of the Conjurers’ Guild or Athenaeum Astrologicum. Mhridi’a has trained as a novice conjurer over the last year, only just recently leaving to pursue further learning in Ishgard at the Athenaeum Astrologicum. While not the most open of the apprentices, he does his best to remain amiable to his peers and instructors.
Barflies. Mhridi’a worked as a manager at the Captain’s Cabin for several months, focused on hiring, running shifts, and advertising. If someone had stopped into the bar at that time, they would most assuredly have seen the Keeper running back and forth to keep things going.
Ul’dah Streetrats or alley lurkers. For several years, Mhridi’a and his friend, Jakkh’a, were living in the back streets of Ul’dah. Mhridi’a would sell art where he could for money to eat, and occasionally solicited himself if he was unable to sell anything else.

Bounty Hunters. Veke has a sizable bounty on her head, not only in Gridania, but personal bounties from several rich nobles. Surely she should be an easy target…
Barfly Seekers. Veke is often looking for Seeker males to antagonize in bars because clearly Seekers are doing everything all backwards. She is still waiting to find a Nunh that can best her at wrestling.

Gridanian or Shroud Travellers. Hawk's work at the New Dawn usually keeps him out in the Twelveswood on a regular basis. He'll go to Gridania for supplies as well, and often sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the locals.
Fellow Gyr Abanian veterans. Hawk was well-liked by those he fought alongside in the wars, and made many friends... and perhaps some enemies along the way.

Of course, there are claims against her angelic countenance and charitable nature, rumors suggesting her looks had been surgically altered and that her philanthropy is a convenient cover for one of the Empire's most connected intelligence organization. Garlean High Society. As a member of the famous and affluent House Ferrum, Constance is most often the representative elected from the family to attend important social functions. More than her siblings, she maintains the most friendships among other noble houses, and often hosts luncheons for fellow noblewomen.
Young Women of Garlemald, War Orphans. Constance often looks for promising young women to aid in their climb to establish themselves as members of society worthy of respect. In the male dominated branches of government and military, and one rife with corruption and blackmail, Constance will offer help in many ways to push more women into power. In addition, she will often do the same for orphans of the war, offering financial aid where it is possible.
Kugane-based characters. Constance often travels to the far east for meetings with allies and tradesmen, and is known to wander the city and shores from time to time.

Without orders, her goals became misconstrued, and she pursued several needless assassinations before she was stopped and apprehended by the Maelstrom. Garlean Soldiers, Agents: While Xenia's work was ordered outside the bounds of military or intelligence, she was still arranged occasional transport outside of Garlean territories on such vessels.
Maelstrom Officers: Xenia has been a small topic of conversation amongst some of the locally bound Maelstrom forces. They seem mostly none too sure about what to do with her, given her actions were not quite her own doing. Some have suggested rehabilitation to reintegrate into Eorzean society, but no one yet has been willing to take that risk with such a dangerous charge.

Criminals: Has your character stolen some weapons from the Maelstrom? Ripped off a supply shipment? Maybe stolen a ship? Hikri may be looking into it. She's determined to make a reputation for herself, and will pursue those who she thinks may give her that step up past "baby cases".

She will only schmooze with people she believes she can gain something from, however, and anyone else wouldn’t be worth her notice to her.
Imperial Government Agents: As an agent of the government herself, she has plenty of connections to keep the flow of information coming and going, and is more than willing to exchange a favor for a favor, or a favor for blackmail.
Orphans, former test subjects and captives: Nerilla recruits her agents young, and when there would be no trail to follow. She favors females over males for this, and often chooses pretty and unassuming young women to train to be just as ruthless as her.
Currently: After an attempt on her life, Nerilla has clawed her way back to civilization. She is currently residing in a Garlean-owned establishment in Kugane, recovering from her ordeal.
